In recent months, acts of physical and verbal violence against people of Asian heritage have occurred across our country. These attacks are deplorable and heartbreaking, demonstrating again the racism that exists in our society. In this moment, it is important that we stand together against the racism and violence directed at the Asian and Asian-American members of our community, as well as their family members and loved ones.
Bexley City Council would like to extend our support and sympathies to our Asian community. We come together to reaffirm our commitment to calling out, and standing against, racism. We come together in solidarity with anyone and everyone who is subject to racist violence and hatred in their many forms.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to making the City of Bexley a community where all are welcome, included, feel safe and are fully valued.
