The review process continues for the proposed redevelopment at 2200 East Main Street. Most recently, the proposal was heard by the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning (BZAP) at their December meeting at which they approved a number of variance requests as well as a Certificate of Appropriateness. A number of conditions were tied to the approvals, which means that the developer will now incorporate those conditions into updated plans for subsequent review at the Architectural Review Board (ARB) and Tree and Public Gardens Commission (TPGC). The City anticipates the developer returning to a special ARB meeting on January 31, and also is likely to return to TPGC on February 21 and BZAP on February 22.
