About the budget

Perhaps the most meaningful policy document produced in any given year, the budget reflects the collective priorities of the Mayor and City Council, department-level goals, and infrastructure investment needs—all guided by the City’s Strategic Plan. The 2026 Budget is no different in that it illustrates the City’s commitment to providing the highest quality health and safety services possible, while enhancing quality of life through public service, building and development, sustainability, and recreational opportunities for all.

As you review the budget document below, you'll notice that while most of the City’s operating budget is reflected in the General Fund, the City maintains multiple enterprise funds established for special purposes—from water and sewer, to recreation, to infrastructure development.
