Get ready for a sizzling and groovy experience at the Smoke and Fire Festival. This event combines the mouthwatering flavors of barbecue with the infectious rhythms of reggae music. Local teams showcase amazing bbq flavors as they compete for the Bexley BBQ Championship belt.

ABOUT THIS EVENT
The 2nd Annual Smoke and Fire Festival in Bexley will showcase amazing BBQ flavors of local vendors and foodies, live music by Lungu Vybz Reggae, and BOB RAS. Join us at Schneider Park on August 26 from 5:00pm - 10:00pm for this FREE and family-friendly event.
The BBQ competition is free and open to the public and will take place from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Each festival attendee will receive tokens to vote on their favorite team. Thanks to a partnership with Specialty Gas House, the winning team will walk away with a MiniMax Big Green Egg and The Bexley Barbeque Champion Belt.
Pecan Penny’s and Seventh Son Brewing Company will be selling food and drinks for those who are still hungry after sampling. Along with Kona Ice and Graeter's Ice Cream.
2023 BBQ COMPETITION WINNERS:
1st place: Specialty Gas House
Homemade Focaccia Bread, lightly coated with dukes’ mayo. A reverse seared prime Picana covered in chimichurri and garnished with Pickled red onion.
Prize: Grand Champion BBQ Belt & Minimax Green egg *Specialty Gas House gave there prizes to Paramont Church.
2nd place: Paramount Church
Salvadoran brisket tostada-Burria style fresh grilled tostada, seasoned with Salvadoran spices topped with a slice of smoked prime brisket, a Salvadoran curdito lime, sour cream, and a Salvadoran hot sauce drizzled on top.
Prize: Gift Basket from Old Town Partners & Macelleria Butcher Box
3rd Place: Rushcreek Processing & Deli
Cherry Wood Kissed Baby Back Ribs and Josh's mean greens.
