This is an annual opportunity to properly dispose of items you no longer need or want. It’s never too late to start Spring cleaning! When arriving in your vehicle on the 24th, please follow signage and directions given during the event to ensure safety among all participants and volunteers.
At this event, residents can properly dispose of batteries (tape must be used to cover both terminals of lithium ion batteries), household items in good working order, expired or unused medication (no liquid medicine or syringes), paper for shredding (no paper clips, staples, receipts, or binders), good condition clothes and textiles, broken electronics, bicycles, and cardboard egg cartons. Residents will be required to wear a mask when conversing with on-site volunteers and should remain in their cars.
Beginning at 9:00 am on the same day, the Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee will be hosting a community litter pick up. Residents interested in participating can meet at Nelson Park parking lot on Clifton Avenue at 8:55 am. Face coverings are required for participation, but all other necessary supplies will be provided!
