The City of Bexley, in conjunction with the Boy Scouts and as part of the Bexley Arboretum’s educational offerings, is hosting the annual Maple Syrup making workshop. All activities will occur at Jeffrey Park, with the initial meeting point at the shelter house next to the playground. This event is a 2-part series, ending with maple syrup production on March 5.

February 26, 9:00 to 11:00 am: Sugar Maple TappingRegister Here
Meet arborists from the City of Bexley and our maple syrup consultant to learn how to identify tap maple trees and install buckets for sap collection.

March 5, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm: Maple Syrup ProductionRegister Here
Work with our maple syrup consultant and with other volunteers to evaporate the maple sap and turn it into maple syrup. It takes 42 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup!
