Cheer for Pelotonia on Saturday, August 6

The Team Bexley peloton is asking community members to be ALL IN on Saturday, August 6 to cheer for Pelotonia cyclists who will be riding through Bexley!

Pelotonia ride weekend includes three days of cycling and celebration and is the culmination of participants’ hard work, training, and fundraising for cancer research. The 102-mile, 57-mile and 20-mile routes, which begin downtown, will traverse Bexley on Saturday, August 6, from 7:00 am until 9:45 am. Throughout the early morning, thousands of cyclists will head east on Broad Street and turn north on Cassady Avenue. 

Rally and cheer stations will be in place on E. Broad Street and Cassady Avenue. Spectators may pick up pom poms, signage, and refreshments. To show support, community members are encouraged to set up lawn chairs along Broad and Cassady, bring signs and noise makers and wear Pelotonia or Bexley spirit wear.

Please note that there will be some disruption to traffic when riders are in Bexley. Please plan accordingly! The following image shows the route cyclists will be following and the two rally station locations and road closures are as follows:

Friday, 8/5 – 12:00pm through 12:00pm August 6 – No Parking on Cassady north of Broad

Saturday,8/6 – Street Closures from 5:30am through 11:00am

  • Broad Street westbound lanes closed from Nelson to North Roosevelt (eastbound lanes open)
  • All streets north of Broad will be closed at Cassady
  • Gould westbound will be closed at Roosevelt
  • All streets east of Cassady will be closed at Roosevelt
