Hosting a Yard Sale in Bexley
An electronic yard sale application can be downloaded from this page's Quick Links section. Before holding a yard sale, a representative from City Hall needs to receive a completed application. Effective May 2022, there is no longer a fee to host a yard sale.
Promotional signs are not permitted on City property (medians, curbs, etc.) Only one sign is permitted and it must be on the property where the sale is held. No banners are permitted. Sale must be held in the applicants residence or the yard (rear only), garage, or out buildings.
Only tangible personal property may offered for sale. Salespersons’ sample sales, etc. are not permitted. Any Bexley resident who includes their own personal property in the sale will have a sale charged against their home address, and will not be eligible to hold another sale for nine months. Your signature on the application guarantees that there has not been a garage sale at the above location in the past nine months and that you agree to comply with all regulations as outlined in Bexley City Ordinance 10-72.

Yard sale permits are now free!
