The 4th of July is always a special day in Bexley. Friends and family travel from all over to celebrate this day, kicking off with the John Barr 5k at 8:00 am! For a full list of details regarding this year’s celebrations, visit bexley.org/fourth. The parade lineup has been posted online – click here to download. In an effort to conserve paper, we’re printing fewer copies of the lineup than we normally do. We encourage you to screenshot a picture and save it for Monday!

4th of July Reminders
- No trash, recycling, yard waste, or compost pickup on Monday – these services will resume Tuesday, July 5. Please take the extra day to ensure your Fourth of July waste is prepared appropriately! Green Bexley has prepared a sustainable celebration guide, available for download by clicking here.
- Fireworks are banned in Bexley
Although the State of Ohio recently passed legislation allowing the use of consumer grade fireworks in some situations, they are not permitted for use in Bexley. This does not affect the use of wire sparklers, paper or plastic caps, party poppers, or other explosive devices containing 16 milligrams or less of explosive powder. We have a fantastic fireworks display prepared for the community to enjoy safely!
