FOR THE FOLLOWING BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS:
Bexley Land Use Strategy Commission
Posted January 27, 2023
The Bexley Land Use Strategy Commission was first formed in 2009 in order to address challenges facing the city, and in order to identify strategic priorities, recognizing that a consensus-built plan was needed in order to create a concerted effort for development in Bexley. City leadership is now in the process of refreshing the Land Use Strategy, with a commission re-launch set for early 2023.
The mission of the Bexley Land Use Strategy Commission is to develop a strategic planning framework and land-use vision for the City of Bexley that protects and enhances our unique community assets by:
- Identifying and addressing short and long term planning options and land-use challenges.
- Recommending opportunities for civic improvement and beautification through land-use policies and initiatives.
Membership in the commission will include a mixture of board and commission members with the City as well as interested residents without prior board or commission experience. Residents who are interested in applying for appointment should have a depth of professional experience in land use planning, development, strategy, law, or related fields and/or experience. Additionally, there will be ample opportunities for public feedback and participation for any interested residents interested in participating in the process.
If you are interested in appointment, please email a resume and/or note of interest to applications@bexley.org by February 28, 2023.
