One of the many joys of being your Bexley City Council President is getting to meet lots of Bexley residents of all ages, whether at a City Council meeting, block party, a Friday night football game, or on a walk with my dog. When I first moved to Bexley, my neighbors became my extended and nurturing family. Even 25 years later, I love that our community want to carry on that outreach to welcome our new neighbors and residents.
As we get ready to leave summer behind and welcome fall, firepits and Football Friday nights, I invite every Bexley resident to an evening of delicious food and community conversation on Sunday, September 21 from 5:00-7:00 pm for our annual One Bexley Community Dinner at the intersection of Drexel and Main. We’ll be dining al fresco and attendees will have the chance to enjoy a meal with their neighbors as well as meet new friends. For anyone who is new to Bexley, I’d love to extend a personal invitation to come and sit at my table as I will be one of the discussion leaders. Let’s enjoy some delicious dinner (with dessert!) and get to know each other. Please sign up to attend here. If you would be willing to serve as a discussion leader (please bring a dessert to share), please sign up here.
You are also welcome to join me on October 21 at 6:30 pm at the Bexley Public Library for our annual Big Table discussion in coordination with the Columbus Foundation. Bring a smile, share a great idea or some insight, and leave with some new friendships!
